SYNOPSIS
What does it feel like to be interrupted?
In her own, searching and personal voice, twelve-year-old Tilda recounts her everyday experiences of being interrupted while speaking — in school, at home, in conversation. Her words unfold with clarity and quiet precision, revealing moments that might otherwise remain unnoticed.
The film traces these interruptions as they take on a sensory form — thoughts dissolve, sentences fracture, and inner images drift away before they can fully emerge.
Without accusation, yet with growing resonance, Unterbrochen touches on a familiar dynamic: whose voice is heard, and whose is cut short. What begins as a personal account opens into a wider reflection on attention, agency, and the fragile space of being allowed to speak.
A short animated documentary that moves between observation and imagination — accessible to younger audiences, yet resonant far beyond.
